PAUL STUART and THE WALL STREET JOURNAL Celebrate the Best of Broadway

Paul Stuart and The Wall Street Journal present “A Salute To The Tony Awards” benefitting the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, hosted by Patti Lupone and Scott Wittman.

Paul Stuart and The Wall Street Journal presented “A Salute to the Tony Awards,” a glamorous Broadway-themed event hosted by Tony Award Winners Patti Lupone and Scott Wittman on June 2.

The black tie party, which took place at Paul Stuart’s flagship store, featured live performances by Lupone and Wittman, who called the event “the best party in New York’s most beautiful shopping environment.”

Lupone delighted the audience with an impromptu performance of “I Wanna Be Around.” Orchestrator Jonathan Tunick also took the stage, leading a musical group called the Broadway Moonlighters.

Meanwhile, approximately 600 guests mingled throughout the three-level store, danced to live music, and enjoyed a cocktail reception and photo exhibition, including character photos by Martha Swope, the only photographer to ever receive a Tony Award.

A photograph of Lupone as Evita, hand-signed by photographer Martha Swope and Lupone herself, was among the items auctioned throughout the evening. All event proceeds benefitted The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
