Indulge For A Great Cause: Mastro Steakhouse’s 5-Course Wine Dinner Tonight

If you’re exploring dinner options in New York this evening, the most indulgent meal in all of Manhattan, hands-down, will take place at Mastro’s Steakhouse — and it’s for a charitable cause.

The elegant steakhouse will host a VIP five-course wine dinner paired with vintage selections from renowned California vineyard Charles Krug Winery.

As guests salivate over top-notch filet mignon, fresh seafood and the restaurant’s signature warm butter cake, it’s nice to know that the entire dinner is dedicated to raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Metro New York and Western New York chapter, devoted to granting the wishes of children who suffer from life-threatening illnesses.

The vintage grapes were carefully selected by dinner hosts Peter Mondavi, Jr., co-proprietor of Charles Krug Winery, and Landry’s, Inc. Divisional Vice President, Wine and Spirits, Tylor Field III. Peter Mondavi, Jr. is the youngest son of family patriarch Peter Mondavi, Sr., and grandson of Cesare and Rosa Mondavi, the Napa Valley pioneers who purchased the historic winery in 1943.

After what is anticipated to be a thoroughly satisfying meal, the event will wrap up with a silent auction where guests can bid on an 18-liter bottle of 2012 Charles Krug Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon. Again, proceeds from the auction will directly benefit the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish.
