One of our entrées – Luscious scallops over a creamy lemon risotto…mmm! (Capesante in padella: scallops, lemon risotto, fava beans, toasted almonds – $29 at Olio e Piú)
Want to take your next date to Italy for the evening? Just head down to this romantic hot spot in the West Village.
Olio e Piú, an authentic Neapolitan restaurant in New York City, brings delicious cuisine from Naples to the trendy downtown neighborhood.
The comfortable candlelit restaurant is “cozy, familiar and casual,” as Gary Spencer, manager of Olio e Piú, describes it.
With scrumptious pizzas to share, impressive Southern Italian seafood and homemade desserts, it’s a perfect date night locale.
We loved the capesante in padella (a scallops entrée, pictured above).
Check out photos of our entire meal below!
Seafood appetizer: Polipetti alla griglia (char grilled baby octopus, fattoria suvereto, fresh lemon – $16 at Olio e Piú)
Even though we already had a yummy appetizer, we had to try the pizza, since the restaurant is known for it (Pizza Tartufo: ricotta, abruzzo burgundy truffles, sea salt – $26 at Olio e Piú)
This salmon entrée is healthy and light, yet totally delicious (Salmone alla Napoletana: cherry tomatoes, olives, arugula, potatoes, white wine – $21 at Olio e Piú)
Nothing like an authentic homemade tiramisu…a must-have dessert after an Italian meal! (Lady fingers soaked in espresso, layered with mascarpone cream and dusted with cocoa powder – $8 at Olio e Piú)
Warm chocolate oozes out of this cake…Still dreaming about it (Tortino al cioccolato: Molten chocolate cake, vanilla gelato – $8 at Olio e Piú
