Largest Asian Food Festival In North America Returns To NYC
Asian food lovers can get their foodie fix this June with month-long dining deals followed by a massive outdoor food festival honoring the culinary arts of Asian and Asian-inspired cuisine and flavors.

Thanks to fully-equipped outdoor kitchens, the festival will showcase expertly-concocted dishes by Michelin-starred chefs Hemant Mathur (Haldi, Chola), Joe Isidori (Chalk Point Kitchen, Black Tap Burgers), Japanese Iron Chef Yuji Wakiya (KOA), Terry French (Food Network’s World Extreme Chef 2012), Beat Bobby Flay veterans, Brian Tsao (Mira Sushi) and Esther Choi (Mokbar), and Barret Beyer (Hell’s Kitchen 11, Cutthroat Kitchen).
In addition to the two-day festival, there will be Asian dining deals available throughout the month of June, as well as other festivities such as the Best NYC Asian Restaurants’ contest, where voters can weigh-in on their favorite Asian restaurants.

But we go further—our roster across Asian cuisines this year is comprised of some of the most talented culinary masters, and with this added star power we expect to double our numbers from last year,” Jan Jekielek, co-curator of Taste Asia, told New York Smash. “One of the most exciting aspects of our festival this year is our inaugural Best NYC Asian Restaurant contest, which kicks off on June 1st, where voters have the power to crown their favorite Asian dining destinations in NYC. For those who want to take the Asian feasting to the next level, there will be an extravagant luncheon with Chef Hemant Mathur and Surbhi Sahni ($200 per ticket) and a James Beard dinner with Chef Zizhao Luo ($200 per ticket).
