TGI Fridays Re-Opens In Sheepshead Bay

After closing its doors in November 2012 due to flood damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, Sheepshead Bay’s TGI Fridays re-opened on May 5.

TGI Fridays re-opened its newly-renovated location in Sheepshead Bay on May 5.

The restaurant, which closed its doors in November 2012 due to flood damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, revealed a contemporary design and redesigned bar.

Community leaders, guests and Fridays team members came to celebrate the occasion and support the Brooklyn community’s progress after the hurricane.

“We couldn’t be happier to be back behind the bar and in front of our favorite guests here in Brooklyn,” said Crystal Valentin, TGI Fridays bartender and member of the original Brooklyn team, in a press release. “Everyone in this area has been through so much in the past year and a half, so it’s exciting to be able to welcome them back with a completely updated look and feel.”

The restaurant’s new modern look is part of a larger re-imaging campaign that is rolling out at TGI Fridays across the country.
